I am planning on on transferring my VSS data into my Source Anywhere Standlone database and i had a technical question. I have been using SourceAnywhere for VSS for over 5 years now and i am ready to go to your standalone product.
In VSS i would always try to create labels after each check-in so that I could view the different checkins and changes made using the VSS History Tool. The labels stuck out and made it easier to read the history report. This was cumbersome because if I forgot to create a label after checking in my source code and then i checked out and checked in after that, i could not go back and add a label. Maybe i am using it wrong, but does sourceAnywhere allow you to create labels back in time? The other question is, is there a way when i move my data from VSS to Source Anywhere to create labels from the comments that are on the files?

Yes. SourceAnywhere Standalone allows you to assign a label to the specified version or current version of a file/project. For more information, please refer to:

Yes. SourceAnywhere Standalone provides VSS Import Tool that enables you to import all history information of your VSS database, as well as labels, share, etc, to SourceAnywhere database. For more information, please refer to:

I have been disappointed in VSS over the last 10 years because they have not added any of the features that users have been asking for, it sounds like you guys are a little more receptive.
