I have already used the VSS Import Tool successfully for some projects but I just tried to import a project with 3 files in it and the import appeared that it worked. However, the new project does not show up in SAW. I tried to refresh, restart the program, etc. I was logged in as Administrator and on the server. I even opened up a client and the folder was not there.

So, I tried to create the folder (project) and it tells me that it already exists. I looked at the log files and everything seems to work.

Where is the folder?

Thanks,
Greg

Well, I had to reboot my server and then the project showed up. Why?

Just tried it again and the project still didn't show up. This must be a bug as I am doing all of the default settings for the import.

The cause is that the folder structure was cached on the server side.

Do you mean you don't see the same project which showed up after rebooting? Would you please make sure you logged in the correct repository?

If the issue persists, you may contact us at LiveHelp to have a web meeting.

I only have one repository.

I can reproduce this everytime and will be doing a online web session when you get online.

If I restart the service, then the imported project shows up. To me, this is unacceptable. What I have that sometimes works, is if I create the project folder before I start the import wizard, then the imported project and files tend to show up more often then not, however, sometimes they still do not show up until I restart the service.

The problem looks like when you go to use the import tool and need to create the project during the import wizard, then after the import has finished, the only way you can see those imported projects and files is if you restart the service.

You can uncheck "Cache user, group, security and project tree structure info" in SourceAnywhere Standalone Service Configurator->Server Info->Cache Settings (more info), so that the projects will show up without restarting the service.

Regards.
