My company recently moved from Eclipse and SAW for our IDE to VS2008 and SAW.

I have noticed two things that are not intuitive with VS2008 / SAW combo.

1. Once I have created a project with a SAW connection, done my work, and wish to move on to another connection on a different server, I can not get VS2008 to let me connect to another server. I either have to start a new instance of VS2008 or close and re-open.

2. We use three servers for our application delivery. A development server, a control server, and the production server. We like creating these similar projects together under one VS2008 solution. I can not find away to get VS2008 to create the solution structure with SAW. May be related to comment 1.

Any insight or help on these issues would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Collin

For your comments:

1.You can switch to another connection through VS File menu->Source Control->Change Source Control->Unbind/Bind.

2.The projects in a VS 2008 solution cannot be bound to different SourceAnywhere for VSS Servers.

Thanks.

Thanks for the reply.

1. Understood.

2. Want to make sure I was using the right terms here. In VS a solution can be created and can contain multiple projects. When working with a solution can it contain multiple Dynamsoft projects. Understanding that there can only be one bound at a time?

Yes. All projects in a source-controlled VS solution can only be bound to one SourceAnywhere for VSS server. You cannot unbind a project of a solution and then bind that project to a different SourceAnywhere for VSS server.

Thanks.
