I have downloaded the demonstration version of VSSAnywhere and installed it for evaluation on my system.
However I have encountered the following difficulties
Visual Foxpro 6 and Visual Foxpro8 do not appear to list the VSSAnywhere source control provider.
Visual Foxpro 9 however does appear to be working reasonably well except that the VFP project list does not appear to get updated by the Update Project List routine.

For the disappearance in Visual FoxPro 6 and 8, it is a known issue. It appears that Visual FoxPro fails to update the SCC Provider in the registry for some reason.

The following steps should correct this problem:
1. Exit Visual FoxPro.

2. Launch the Registry Editor (regedit.exe)

3. Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\SourceCodeControlProvider\InstalledSCCProviders.

4. Under this key, right-click one of the value names that existed before SAW for VSS was installed and select "rename". Add a "B" to the end of the name and save it.

5. Now, right-click the value name again and select "rename". Remove the "B" from the value name and save it. So, the value name should now be as it was initially.

6. Exit the Registry.

Next time you launch Visual FoxPro, SourceAnywhere for VSS should be listed as an active SCC provider.

For the second issue, the cause shall reside in the mechanism of Visual FoxPro 9. Please refer to the following thread:

Thanks.

Unfortunately that isn't the case as I am already following the instructions there. That link tells me nothing that I did not already know. As stated in my original post I am running the Update Project List routine which is the only requirement needed to keep the developers projects up to date. This works fine with VSS itself and other VSS add-on providers. I have tested this extensively using 2 machines running VFP9 using VSS and your product. I suggest you do the same and you will probably find the same problem.
Regards

Darren
