Because of a few bugs I have a script that checks to see if my computer is running the correct version of SAWscmd.exe like this.

Code:
   if((test-path 'C:\Program Files\Dynamsoft\SourceAnywhere Standalone Client\SAWSCmd.exe') -eq $true) {
        [string]$ax=&'C:\Program Files\Dynamsoft\SourceAnywhere Standalone Client\SAWSCmd.exe' About

        $bx=$ax.Contains("2,3,0,806")

        if ( $bx -eq $false ) {
            ESpeak "Please update Source Anywhere Client to V2.3.1.4.2"
            GSWait /60 "Please update Source Anywhere Client to V2.3.1.4.2"
        }
    }

Witch runs when automatically on startup for any of my Virtual PCs.

How do I do the same things for

Code:
SourceAnywhereStandalone.exe

as I have to make sure it's 2.3.1.9

(
Code:
 &"C:\Program Files\Dynamsoft\SourceAnywhere Standalone Client\SourceAnywhereStandalone.exe" about

doesn't work, also
Code:
&"C:\Program Files\Dynamsoft\SourceAnywhere Standalone Client\SourceAnywhereStandalone.exe" /?
 &"C:\Program Files\Dynamsoft\SourceAnywhere Standalone Client\SourceAnywhereStandalone.exe" -?
 &"C:\Program Files\Dynamsoft\SourceAnywhere Standalone Client\SourceAnywhereStandalone.exe" anything else I can think of.

do not work.

Hi isgdre,

You may try using Filever.exe tool to obtain the version number of a file.

Here is the detailed information on how to use it:

Thanks.
