I came in to the office today and SourceAnywhere Standalone, stopped working.

When I open the client I get;

Error connecting to: Quantum:7777

Quantum is the SQL Server and where the SourseAnywhere server is installed.
I can run the client there.
I can access Quantum from the development computer but not SourceAnywhere.

What should I do to get it going again?

Restarted the two computers and it's working again.

FYI: The systems came up this morning without the router that was between them (someone had shut it off). I turned it on and everything started working except for SourceAnywhere.

You'll likely want to look into that.

Hi isgdre,

Thanks for letting me know.

I tested on my side and SourceAnywhere works fine when the connection restores. If you meet the issue again, you can contact us at LiveHelp for a web meeting.

For "Error connecting to: <IP>:<Port>" message, there are 4 possible causes. If you encounter the issue again in future, you can verify the following things:

1. Make sure the network connection between the SourceAnywhere Standalone Server and Client is OK.

2. Make sure the Server IP you are connecting to is correct. Please check if the IP address is listed in Server -> ServerInfo -> General Settings -> Server IP.

3. If you have a firewall configured on the Server or Client, please make sure the firewall does not block the port you specified in the Server -> ServerInfo -> General Settings page.

4. If SourceAnywhere Standalone Server is installed on a Windows XP SP2 or Windows Server 2003 SP1 machine, please check if the Windows Firewall is enabled on this server machine. If yes, it is likely the Windows Firewall is blocking connections from SourceAnywhere Standalone Client. In this case, please add a Windows Firewall exception for SourceAnywhere Standalone service.

Regards.
