We are pleased to announce the release of SourceAnywhere for VSS 6.2.

SourceAnywhere for VSS 6.2 has many improvements, most of which were done specifically in response to requests from our customers. Here are some highlights of What’s News in V6.2:

Improvement for the performance:

• Further improve the performance to refresh the file/project list.
• Further improve the performance to Get file/project, especially when it is recursive.
• Further improve the performance of 'Check In' by reducing the frequency of status query.
• Further improve the performance of 'Undo Check Out'.
• Further improve the performance of 'Add Files'.
• Further improve the performance of 'Status Search'. It now only searches among checked out files.

Enhancements and bug fixes:

• Improved the simultaneous capacity. More users and VSS databases can be handled by Version 6.2 simultaneously.
• Able to track the 'computer name' in 'check out path' with Visual SourceSafe 2005 API.
• Support project switching in different databases in IDE.
• Support drag & drop operation to share file/project in Windows GUI client.
• Display 'Modification Time' in the File List Columns instead of 'Check In Time'.
• COM SDK fully compatible with DEP.
• More detailed error/warning messages of Server Manager to help users troubleshoot problems.
• Other minor fixes and tweaks.
