No user can log in to Sourcesafe

Hi,

I have an installation of sourcesafe 2005 where I suddenly had the strangest problem.
No user can log in, and no error message is shown. Type username and password and nothing happens when pressing login.
If I type the wrong password I get an error message for wrong password, so No, all users did not forget their password at once.

Any suggestions?

Hi nett-ulf，

I haven't been able to reproduce the issue. One possible cause would be that the database is corrupted, you can try analyse the database and fix any error with it. Also, you might consider updating your installation of the SourceSafe with the latest patch.

I ran the Analyze tool, and it found some inconsistency. This is fixed.
I also checked that the software is up to date.

Still, same problem.
I created a new test database. This works excellent, so it has to be the database, not the actual software.
Would it be possible to migrate the data over to the working database?

Will "Archive & Restore Projects" functions work for you? (Microsoft Visual SourceSafe Administration ->Archive ->Archive projects.../Restore projects...)
