We were running Server and Client version 5.1 and using Pinning. This worked fine.
We upgraded to 5.3.1 several months ago and now I am hearing that since then the PIN icons are not displaying. User pins a file, icon appears then when they get the file again, the PIN icons do not display.
I tried upgrading the client only to 5.3.2 but this did not resolve the issue.

With the upgrade, I replaced the sawconfigure.ini file with the 5.1 version.
This version still have some pin references in it such as:
ProjectPin_Length=4
ProjectPin_Content=$/:1

Would this be an issue??

Any explaination as to why the icons do not display?

That should have nothing to do with the pin issue. SourceAnywhere 5.3 does not use this configuration entry.

We slightly changed the implementation of Pin to make the operation faster.

For workaround, you can unpin and then pin files manually in VSS.
