When trying to upgrade SCM Anywhere Standalone from 2.1 to 2.2 I receive this error:

[DBNETLIB][ConnectionOpen (Invalid Instance()). Invalid Connection.

The steps i have taken are:
Stopped the SCM Anywhere service
backed up the database
ran the installer

I have verified using SSMS that the credentials i am using to login into SQL are valid. Have tried both Windows Authentication and SQL Server authentication.

Please advise.

We had a web meeting with the customer and the issue was solved.

He has both SQL Server 2008 and 2005 running and it seems SCM Anywhere got problem to connect to the correct one.

Also, if you have multiple instances in your SQL Server, please input computer_name\instance_name in SQL Server text box of Connect to SQL Server dialog box when installing SCM Anywhere Standalone Server.

Thanks.
