For those who want to upgrade to SourceAnywhere Standalone 3.0.1, please follow the instructions below:

1. Stop SourceAnywhere Standalone Service.

2. Back up the database of the old version.

Before upgrading, please make sure the following things:

- To keep your SourceAnywhere Standalone Server settings, please backup “sawsconfigure.ini” in the installation folder of SourceAnywhere Standalone Server.

- Back up your license key in SourceAnywhere Standalone Server Manager.

3. Install the new version. Download SourceAnywhere Standalone 3.0.1

During the installation process of the new-version Server, you will be prompted whether to keep your existing 'SourceAnywhere' database.

4. Add the license key in the Serial Numbers window of SourceAnywhere Standalone 3.0.1 Server Manager. The licenses of V3.x are compatible.

5. Start the SourceAnywhere Standalone 3.0.1 Service.

Please NOTE that SourceAnywhere Standalone 3.0.1 is compatible with v3.0 but not with prior versions, so if you are upgrading from older versions (before v3.0) to v3.0.1, you will need to upgrade all your clients to v3.0.1 as well.
