Hi,

For those who want to upgrade to the new version of SAW, please note:

1. If you upgrade from 4.x, the license is compatible so you do not need a new license.

2. If you upgrade from 3.x, please write to sales@dynamsoft.com to ask for a new license.

3. You need to upgrade both the SAW Client and Server.

4. Please uninstall the old version before installing the new one.

5. To keep all server settings in the old version, you can backup the sawconfigure.ini which resides in the SAW Server directory before uninstalling the old version, and then copy it back to the same directory after installation of the new version.

6. To keep all client settings in the old version, after the upgrade please copy all .saw files under C:\Documents and Settings\(current logged-in user)\Application Data\DynamSoft\SourceAnyWhere_4.2.4 (or any other previous version number) to C:\Documents and Settings\(current logged-in user)\Application Data\DynamSoft\SourceAnyWhere_4.3.

In the future, it would be better (i.e. more user friendly) if we could just install the new version without the hassle of uninstalling the old version and if a new client version was made compatible with previous server versions.
