Post subject: How to update ?

Is there a way to update to anew version of SAW without uninstalling
everything and having to setup all users and settings again ?
It is very annoying that the setup always complaints that there is already
a version installed and needs to be uninstalled.

Regards
Thomas

Hi tleclaire,

Are you trying to upgrade from 4.x to 4.x?

To upgrade to a new version, you have to uninstall the old version first.

However, you don't have to re-configure the SAW Server Manager after the installation of new version. Keep the file sawconfigure.ini (under SAW Server directory) of the old version and copy it to the same directory after the new version is installed. By doing so, all the configuration information can be applied to the new version of SAW.

Thanks.
