Hello All,

We currently have some files checked out by a user that is no longer with the company, does anyone know how I could check those files back in? I am the VSS Admin.

Please advice.

Thanks.

Hi Sotando,

Since you are the admin of VSS, you have the right to check in/undo check out files that were checked out by others. Here are steps for your reference:

1. Log into VSS database as admin user.
2. Locate to these checked out files, perform check-in on them.
3. You'll get prompt message "File $/.... is currently checked out by ##. Proceed anyway?"
4. Click Yes

Please note that you will lose the changes made by the check-out user if the local copies of these checked out files don't exist in current Check Out Folder paths.

Regards.
