I have never used VSS before but am doing some maintenance on an old project that uses VSS 6.0. I need to get the source code that was put together in 2004 with a certain label. I clicked on the root folder and did Show History and then went to the label and did a get on it. But then when trying to compile some files were missing. What am I doing wrong?

When you performed Get on the labeled version, please make sure you checked “Recursive” option in the Get dialog box. Otherwise, SourceSafe will only get the files under the root folder. The files in the subfolders will not be retrieved.
