Hi,

I have been using SAW 5.0.1 for almost a year now, everything is perfectly fine. Just recently, I install the same version on the new PC, and it give me the error message such as:
Error Connecting to: <IP>:<Port>

I did check on this:
http://www.dynamsoft.com/Products/SAW_F ... connecting,
but still no solution even as Windows FireWall is turn off.

But, it is working fine on the old notebook.

Grateful for your solution.

Regards.

Please make sure the SourceAnywhere for VSS Server is started successfully. You can refer to the following online manual for information:
http://dynamsoft.com/help/saw/SM_Service%20Control.htm

If the service is started, it is most probably a network connection problem. Please ping the IP address of the server on the new machine to test the network connection between two machines.

Thanks.

Thank you for your response...
I am able to connect to SAW, but one thing is still cause a headache. The connection is OK, when I try to get latest or check-out/in. It processes for 5 to 10 minutes, then it gives the error message "Socket error".

Regards.

We are suspecting there are timeouts on the firewall. The socket will be closed by firewall if the idle time is too long.

Would you please let the network Admin check the secure options such as Keepalive etc?

Thanks.
