 Post subject: Diff problem

Hi

We are using SAW with Visual Studio .NET 2003 and also for DB scripts. How can we see differences between script files (they have .PRC, .TAB .. extensions)? We get only 'binary files differ' .. although scripts are plain text.

Thanks

Hi Milica,

When you select Auto-detect as the file type in Add File dialog box, VSS may think it is a binary file by using its algorithm.

If you are sure your files are text files, you can change them from "binary" to "text" in the Properties dialog box of the files in VSS Explorer. Currently, you can not change the file type in SAW.

After that, you will be able to visual diff in SAW.

Thanks.
