I lost my SCM Anywhere installation and have had to reinstall. What is the password for the Admin account? I am trying to login for the first time after I started the service and have gotten a login name or bad password error using every combination I can think of and can't seem to find any default values in the help file. I am using the Admin username.

Hi mdanielski,

The cause of the issue is that the admin password cannot be reset successfully during your reinstallation. Our development team is planning to fix it in the next release.

Currently, you can use the previous admin password (before the reinstallation) to log into SCM Anywhere Standalone. If you forget the previous password for admin account, please follow the steps below to reset it to 1:

1. Open SQL Server Management Studio and log in.
2. Locate to Databases -> SCMAnywhere -> Tables -> dbo.PUB_User, right click it and choose "Edit Top 200 Rows".
3. Replace admin password with C4CA4238A0B923820DCC509A6F75849B

After the above steps, you should be able to log into SCM Anywhere Standalone with Admin account (password: 1). Please don't forget to change the password next login, i.e. check the "Must change password next login" at Admin| Admin Explorer| Users -> <highlight Admin user> -> Edit.
