I run my SourceAnywhere server and SourceSafe server on my build server in my central office, but overnight it ran out of disk space.

This had the unfortunate side effect that any work checked in was lost and the file became blank in SourceSafe.

Is this a bug in SourceSafe, or a bug in SourceAnywhere for VSS?

If it's a bug in SourceSafe, perhaps SourceAnywhere for VSS could become capable of checking for this.

Thanks,
Adrian.

SourceAnywhere for VSS is very stable and should not cause any problems.

I think the issue is caused by "ran out of disk space". Since VSS database is not transactional, when you machine ran out of disk space, the VSS database could be corrupted.

To sove this issue, you need to:
1. have more disk space for the system
2. use Analysis & Fix tool of SourceSafe to fix the data corruption
3. For any operations (like check in) not completed because of the disk space issue, redo them.

Thanks.
