<quote>I am evaluating SAW for VSS 5.3.2, which seems to still have this problem. I am trying to add a JDeveloper project to sourcesafe, and the .jsps directories give errors. I am developing under Linux using the Java client, and when I try to add the entire project, I get a red error message which says,
Creating project $/JDeveloper/10.1.2/srccode/ADF_JavaBean/ADF_JavaBean/ViewController/classes/.jsps...
Invalid project name: .jsps

the .jsps is part of the project that I need in SourceSafe. Will this be fixed, and if so, when?

I received a response from Catherine that this would be in the next version of SourceAnywhere for VSS. This is great. I would like to add a further refinement.

I want all folder to be added, even ones that begin with a period. I would also like a user option for exclusions. For example, I currently am using both SourceAnywhere and Subversion. Subversion uses .svn folders to hold information, and I would like the opportunity to selectively exclude specific patterns. Something like the following in the user options:
Exclude Folder Pattern: .svn .extra deploy
Exclude File Pattern: *.bak
When adding folders or files, don't add files or files that are in the exlude list. Even one list for both would be a good start. My example is space delimited.

Thanks, Ken

To exclude file patterns, you can add the file types you want to exclude into excluded File Types in SourceAnywhere for VSS Server Manager. See this:
http://www.dynamsoft.com/help/saw/SMD_E ... 0Types.htm

For exclude folder pattern feature, I have added it into our issue tracking system for consideration of a future release.

Thanks.
